Nobody remembers exactly how it started.
Some say a resident from the northern part of the county declared dill pickles were the only respectable pickle. Others claim a resident from the south insisted sweet pickles were superior. Before long, the debate had spread across Bradford County.
The North rallied behind Team Dill.
The South stood proudly with Team Sweet.
And the argument remained unresolved.
Until now.
Instead of debating at cookouts and community events, Bradford County has chosen a more civilized solution: Pickleball.
As players prepare to defend their side of the county’s honor, friendly rivalries are heating up. Team Dill claims grit and determination will carry them to victory. Team Sweet insists charm and strategy will win the day.
The serves will be sharp. The rallies will be intense. The bragging rights will be priceless.
But this showdown is about more than pickle preferences.
