Cook’s Pond Park is the easternmost facility operated by the County. Nestled in Orwell Township, this 40 acre waterbody is a noted freshwater fishery and will be an addition to the Pennsylvania Fish Commission’s Trout Stocking Schedule for 2018 which will only improve the already diverse fish populations.
The park was acquired through a donation in 2016 from the Cook’s Pond Association and currently consists of a small parking area and unimproved boat launch (electric motor only). The County is currently evaluating potential site improvements which will begin shortly.
Preliminary plans are to add restrooms, picnic facilities, walking trails and an ADA-accessible kayak launch. If you’re looking for a pristine place to enjoy paddle sports or fishing, this is the place for you.
